ABOUT CORNERSTONE LEARNING SOLUTIONS

We are a national K- 12 tutoring provider that provides multisensory solutions to strengthen foundational skills and bridge learning gaps. We are searching for an experienced teacher/tutor to help a group of our tutees achieve academic success.

NUMBER OF HIRES FOR THIS ROLE: 1

Job role:

As a virtual tutor, your primary objective will be to provide students with educational support in 1:1 or small group sessions. Lessons are set to cater to the individual needs/goals of the student based on the current school. We use multi-sensory instruction to provide students with individualized assistance to help them learn new concepts and build independence.

Job Type: Part-time, 1099

Pay Rate: Starting at $16 - $18/hour

Hours: Based on tutoring needs

Responsibilities:

*Be punctual to all tutoring sessions *Consult and collaborate with staff and families to understand the special needs of a student and understanding the adaptations and modifications needed to assist the student *Collaborate with other related student support professionals (e.g., exceptional education staff or school counselor) in the delivery of services *Assisting with developing academic plans for students with IEPs as appropriate *Develop multi-sensory lesson plans based on the developmental needs of students and needs assessments *Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers about the programs and services, and any changes which may impact their children *Administer assessment, aid in interpreting scores, and communicate results *Provide practical study skills and problem-solving skills *Establish an effective working relationship with parents and school personnel *Maintain professional and ethical standards as outlined by Cornerstone Learning Solutions

Requirements:

*[2] years of experience teaching or tutoring *Relevant Bachelor's degree preferred *Hold a valid FLDOE license (recommended) *Be punctual to all tutoring sessions *Reliable computer device and internet connection *Pass Background check *Must have Monday - Friday availabilities between the hours of 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Qualifications:

*Ability to read and interpret test results. *Ability to verbally communicate and consult with parents and school personnel *Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student records *Ability to administer student assessment and progress monitoring instruments *Ability to create an academic lesson plan for students with and without special needs *Ability to use a computer *Ability to tutor software *Ability to work independently *Ability to adhere to tutoring schedule *Ability to record student progress after each session

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $16.00 - $18.00/hour.
